The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: From the mid-1980s until the end of the century, I was involved in a variety of different restaurant & hospitality ventures. I worked in the top restaurants of New York City: Cafe Des Artistes, Tavern on the Green, and River Cafe. I changed gears from fine dining to institutional Food Management at places like New York University, Time Warner/AOL, and Pratt Institute. Using what I learned, I ventured into the Sales arena in 1994, selling catering in gourmet specialty shops throughout Manhattan & NYC. A few years later, I further honed my skill by selling Food Service Equipment and supplies to the top restaurants, hotels and institutions, which I had worked for throughout the Metro NY area. In late 1999, I completely switched gears once again, moved back to Pennsylvania, and exploited my Sales knowledge in the technical area of Scientific Lab Liquid Temperature Control working at industry leaders such as Lauda, Huber, & Julabo. For the past 10 years, I have been in the Life Science and R&D areas of the Scientific Lab Market, winning awards for Top Sales Representative in a number of categories over the years. In Summer, 2006, I got married to my life-long partner, Carole, on the beach along the ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC. We live in Northampton, PA with two of our three kids and have one daughter, who lives in Oklahoma with her husband and two kids. |
